What do you do when reality as you know it is constantly shifting?
The disorientation when something or someone you counted on suddenly isn’t there. The way the ground shifts under your feet when institutions you trusted reveal themselves to be fragile, captured, or simply gone. The exhaustion of trying to stay functional while the world reorganizes itself around you in ways you didn’t choose and can't keep track of.

Ontological Shock
Now imagine that at a
societal scale.
That’s ontological shock. And it’s what many of us are living through right now.
We have to respond to the state of the world through seeking reliable information, and gaining new skills. But we also have to attend to the psychological and spiritual impact of fundamental change in real time.

Somatic practices for staying regulated when the environment is dysregulating
How to maintain relational and organizational coherence under pressure
Decolonial and indigenous frameworks for surviving and thriving through paradigm collapse
How living systems respond to disruption, and what that tells us about how humans can too
What ontological shock is, what narrative collapse is, and why they are different from ordinary stress or political anxiety
Course Overview
Timed to the weeks around the November elections, this three-session intensive uses living systems theory, depth psychology, and decolonial frameworks to help you locate yourself inside what’s happening, (not just politically, but ontologically), and to build the internal and collective capacity to think and act generatively during a period of disorientation and systemic erosion. We won’t tell you what to think about the political situation. We will explore how to stay grounded, coherent, and alive to possibility when the rules you knew no longer hold. We'll cover:
Who it’s for
This course is for anyone feeling the weight of this political moment, educators, organizers, leaders, practitioners, and anyone trying to stay whole and effective while navigating an increasingly authoritarian climate.
It’s also for people who want to understand what they’re experiencing more deeply, not just manage it better.
Come as you are.
