Learning Ways
The Living Systems framework, in your hands, at your pace, on your terms.
Teaching & Facilitation
Learning is happening whether we design it or not. Every meeting, every policy, every moment of conflict or connection is teaching your organization something about what it values, who belongs, and what’s possible. The question isn’t whether learning is occurring; it’s whether it’s taking you where you want to go.
Learning Ways is our offering for organizations, teams, and individuals who want to bring a living systems framework into their own hands. Not through us coming to redesign your culture from the inside, but through building your own capacity to think, work, and relate differently.
“I celebrate teaching that enables transgressions — a movement against and beyond boundaries. It is that movement that makes education the practice of freedom.”
— bell hooks, Teaching to Transgress
What We Believe About Learning
Our approach to education is rooted in three convictions that set it apart from standard training and development:
01 — Learning is a healing practice
Standardized education has spent centuries attempting to remove us from our own knowing. Real learning restores the relationship between a person and their own intelligence — their curiosity, their experience, their embodied wisdom.
02 — Learning is imaginal
The best learning conditions don’t just transfer information — they open space for emergent thinking. For asking questions that don’t yet have answers. For imagining realities that don’t yet exist.
03 — Learning is relational
Meaning is made in community. Learning that happens in isolation stays in isolation. Learning that happens in relationship — with others, with ideas, with the living world — has a chance of changing something real.
What Learning Ways Includes
Workshops & Trainings
We offer both signature workshops drawn from the Living Systems curriculum and custom-designed workshops built around your organization’s specific context and needs. Our workshops aren’t content delivery — they’re facilitated experiences designed to shift how people think and relate, not just what they know.
Thematic territories we work in:
— Introduction to living systems thinking
— Decolonial frameworks for workplace culture
— Relational power and decision-making
— Emergent facilitation and meeting design
— Building learning cultures in organizations
— Belonging, identity, and the whole person at work
Workshops are available for organizations, teams, and the public. We periodically offer open-enrollment workshops — follow us to stay informed about upcoming dates.
Curriculum Design
For organizations ready to build a sustained learning environment — not just a one-time training — we offer custom curriculum design. Think of curriculum as the skeleton of a well-crafted educational space: it shows you the routes to your objective while leaving room for creativity to guide the path.
Our curriculum design process is one of alchemy. We consider your goals, your community, your existing assets, and what needs to be built from scratch. The result is a learning architecture that can be facilitated by us, by your own staff, or both — and that grows with your organization over time.
On-Demand Content
For individuals and organizations who want to engage with the Living Systems framework at their own pace, on-demand classes and digital workbooks are currently in development. Sign up below to be notified when they launch.
Learning Ways vs. Making Kin — Which Do You Need?
Learning Ways: You want to bring the framework into your own hands. Workshops, curriculum, digital content. We give you the tools — you do the applying.
Learning Ways is for those who want to bring our framework into their own hands.”
Making Kin: You want us inside your organization. We meet your people, assess your culture, and build custom protocols for how you work together. On-the-ground and site-specific.
“Making Kin is for organizations ready for us to come inside.
What Becomes Possible
Learning and knowledge production are the foundation of culture change. Organizations that build genuine learning cultures — where curiosity is protected, where mistakes are information, and where people are growing together — don’t just perform better. They become more resilient, more adaptive, and more capable of navigating the complexity that every organization now faces.
Learning Ways is how that culture begins to take root. And once it does, everything else becomes more possible.
